5 handy tips to make your move a stress-free affair.

Finding suitable storage solutions can be tricky. Having to transport all of your precious belongings to a storage facility, and then on to your new house seems like more trouble than it’s worth, which is why Easy Store’s portable storage is ideal.

All you need to do is concentrate on the packing, and we’ll deliver the containers, collect you goods, and store them in our safe and modern warehouse. This is a far better option than wading through waist-high muddle as you try to make sense of the packing process.

And, since we’re trying to make your move even easier, here are some other helpful tips on having your move go seamlessly:

1. Pack an Evening Suitcase

Chances are good that when you get to your new place, and have hauled all of your boxes inside, you’ll be feeling tired. The last thing you’ll want to do is start rooting through your boxes looking for your PJs. This is why it is a good idea to pack a bag containing all of the essentials you’ll need for the first night in your new home, as well as some clothes for work the next day.

2. Pack a Clear Container with Important Items

Get a large, plastic container and keep it for the items that you’ll need when you first arrive in your new house. These can be items such as basic cookware, utensils, kitchen roll, toilet rolls, chargers, adapters, and don’t forget a box cutter.

3. Use Clothing Instead of Bubble Wrap
Bubble wrap can get expensive, and it takes up a lot of room. So, as an alternative, wrap your valuable items in thick clothing. This way you save packing space as well as protect your fragile belongings.

4. Create a Watertight Seal for your Liquids

Liquids, like cosmetics, that are likely to tip over and leak all over the place during the move needn’t be thrown away. You can easily prevent this with cling wrap. Just place a piece of sticky film over the hole of your opened bottle, pull tight, and then screw the lid back on. Sorted.

5. Keep Sealable Bags on Hand

Bags that can seal shut are excellent for items that have to be taken apart, like certain pieces of furniture or wall-mounted TVs. Place any screws, small parts, or cables that belong to the item in the plastic bag and tape the bag to the item. While you’re at it, use your phone to take pictures of any complicated wiring, so that it is easy to redo in your new home. Once again, portable storage is fantastic way to take the stress out of moving house. Hopefully these tips help to make your move as easy and efficient as our storage solutions are.
